How to Enable Tab Groups in Chrome

The most recent versions of the Google Chrome browser, such as Chrome 73 and higher, have a secret, hidden feature called “tab groups”. This feature is not enabled by default, and we have to enable and share it manually via the Chrome advanced configuration page, i.e. the Chrome://flags page.

When we enable this feature, we can right-click on a tab and select the option “Add to a new group”. This will create a new group of tabs called Group 0 and the selected tab will be added to this group. You can now add multiple tabs to this group by right-clicking on a tab and selecting the option “Add to existing group”. You can create multiple and separate tab groups for the desired tabs. If you wish to remove a tab from a tab group, you can right-click on the tab and select the “Remove from group” option. read more

Mute and Unmute Someone in Facebook Stories

Ever wanted to stop seeing a particular contact’s Stories in the Facebook Messenger application or on the desktop? Our guide shows you how to mute Stories so that its content no longer appears at the top of the application. We’ll also show you how to mute a user’s story later, in case you change your mind.

You may like your friends and family, but that doesn’t mean you’ll always enjoy listening to them. While you can’t press Mute in real life, Facebook allows you to hide updates from certain people without completely deleting them from your friends list. If you’ve unsubscribed from a friend’s updates and changed your mind, you can remove them from your list of hidden friends and their messages will reappear in your message stream. read more

Repair Printer Error: Your margins are pretty small

The non-printable area respected by Word is specified by the printer driver, not by Word itself. Word receives the information from the printer driver. If you cannot redefine the non-printable area in the printer properties settings, there may be no way around this message.

To clear the warning, you must print with at least the minimum margins specified by your printer (this depends on your printer, but some sources define 0.17 inches as the “default” minimum).

You can always ignore the popup, as it is only a warning. read more

How to Add Slide Numbers in Microsoft PowerPoint

When you present a PowerPoint presentation, it’s easy to lose track of the slide you’re currently on – especially if it’s a large slide. To help you, you can add slide numbers in PowerPoint so you know where you are.

Of course, you can also manually add slide numbers to each of your slides using text boxes. This is not an option we recommend, as any changes you make (for example, adding new slides) would require manually updating the slide numbers.

Instead, you can add slide numbers that automatically update on all your slides, including hidden slides. By default, these slide numbers appear in the footer of your slide, but you can move and format your slide numbers by editing the “Slide Master” of your presentation. read more
