Download Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2010

Microsoft has released Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2010 and is now available for download for 32-bit and 64-bit installations.

Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 1 includes new features. There are things you couldn’t do before, or things that are simply better than they were with the original version.

It contains the latest updates for Office 2010 and includes two main categories of corrections:

  • Unpublished fixes created specifically for this Service Pack. In addition to general product patches, these patches include stability, performance and security improvements.
  • All public updates published by June 2011 and all cumulative updates published by April 2011.

Currently, Service Pack 1 is available for manual download from the download center and Microsoft Update and will only be available as an automatic update at least 90 days after its release. read more

Suppose you receive an email with one Word file attached. If you now try to preview this file.doc or .docx, the file will be processed by the Word component (16) on your system. In some scenarios Outlook may cause the following error when scanning this file if it is unable to preview this Word attachment:

Use the private filtering function in Internet Explorer

InPrivate Filtering prevents Web site content providers from collecting information about visited Web sites. InPrivate filtering works by analyzing web content such as ads, maps or web analytics tools on websites you visit, and when the same content is used on a number of websites, it gives you the ability to allow or block that content. You can also set InPrivate Filtering to automatically block any recognized content provider or third-party website, or you can disable InPrivate Filtering. InPrivate Filtering (press Ctrl+Shift+F to enable it) scans the websites you visit and the content providers they use, but does not automatically block them. You can allow or block any content provider identified by InPrivate Filtering as the recipient of your browser information.
