Due to different laws and regulations in different countries or countries such as the European Union, China and Korea, Microsoft must remove certain features or add local features to its Windows 10 editions for these regions.
Windows 10 N deletes the media player and Internet Explorer from your computer and is required by law to allow users to select browsers of their choice. This is for the European region.
Windows C is for the Korean region and, by law, Microsoft must add at least two local government websites to the operating system. Although it can carry Internet Explorer, it does not have a multimedia player.
Windows 10 KN is a combination of Windows 10 N and Windows 10 K editions – where you will not find WMP or IE. And it contains two abbreviations for local authority websites.
To play media, you must install the multimedia software separately. Microsoft has published a bundle that includes Windows Media Player and certain other multimedia software for the three editions: Windows 10 N, Windows 10 K and Windows 10 KN editions. You can install this package from the Microsoft website or you can ignore Microsoft players (and browsers in the case of Windows 10 N Edition) and install something like VLC. Although VLC is an excellent program for DVD playback and even streaming video recording, it can be too complex for beginners. Its equalizer does not move smoothly and I had to spend almost an hour optimizing the sound to my taste. There are also other improvements that are difficult to understand. In short, it can be used by anyone, but if you want the best sound and playback, you need to optimize and that’s where you’re stuck because there are too many options.

I prefer Winamp to listen to music, but as developers no longer follow the product, I have my second choice as Windows Media Player. The equalizer in Windows Media Player can be adjusted in minutes because it allows you to move the sliders within the group – unlike VLC or Winamp, where you can move each slider independently.
If you are using Windows N, Windows 10 K or Windows 10 KN, you can download and install Windows Media Player. It also affects other programs like Live Movie Maker if you can run it under Windows 10. The codecs used by Movie Maker are installed when you install Windows Media Player. Another way to get codecs is to manually search the web, but it’s a difficult game because you don’t always know the codec names you need.
I recommend downloading Windows Media Player because it has a number of optimization options, it can play both audio and video, it has simple configuration settings for equalizer, SRS and normalization, etc.. You can also set the colors of the video played and of course, there are many plugins that you can download from the website for DSP and views. In addition, WMP downloads artist and album information in the background when you play a song.
