The system file rtwlane.sys is the RealTek NIC/Wired – Realtek PCIEWireless LAN PCI-E NIC driver. Problems with this driver cause DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (error code 0x000000D1), which is a shutdown error that Windows users recently detected after upgrading from Windows 10 or updating to Windows 10 anniversary. The error often comes with a blue screen of death (BSoD), which displays the error message 0x000000D1.
Here are some methods that will help you solve BSODs created by rtwlane.sys:
Update all Realtek drivers
With the device manager on my laptop, I tried to update all the realtek drivers.
Check System Maker for updates.
Ask RealTek directly for an even more recent version of the driver. To search RealTek, you need information about the model of the device – an example would be RTL8168SE, although there are many types of models.
While system vendors are looking for BIOS updates, low-level chip set drivers and other major embedded device drivers. Remember that new computers are equipped with the early stages of driving.
Running a malware and virus scan
It is possible that your rtwlane.sys STOP error is related to a malicious infection on your PC. These malicious intruders can damage, damage, damage or even delete SYS files. It is also possible that the rtwlane.sys blue screen error that occurs in your system is related to a component of the malware itself.
Files or folders infected with malware or viruses can also cause an error in Windows 10 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
Using the System File Checker
System File Checker is a Windows 10 tool that can help you find corrupted system files and correct the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. Here are the steps:
Use the Windows Win + X shortcut keys to launch the skip list, then select Command prompt (Admin).
Enter SFC /scannow in the dialog box and press Enter.
If you get “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them”, run System Restore to completely fix the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error.
Clean Windows Installation
If your computer is already running Windows 10, the easiest way to update your computer is to reset it.
Step 1: On the Windows 10 Start menu, click Settings.
Step 2: On the Settings page, click the Update and Security button.
Step 3: On the Update and Security page, click Recover, then click Start under Reset this PC.
Step 4: Select the appropriate option to delete everything. You can also keep your personal files (for example in the “Desktop” and “Documents” folders), so that the files in your profile are kept.
Note that the last option, Restore Factory Settings, is only available on some machines and will reinstall the original Windows system that was on your computer at the time of purchase. You do not want to select this option unless your computer is originally equipped with Windows 10.
