We all know that the Group Policy Engine updates the whole architecture of group policy every 90 minutes. So when we configure a GPO setting, this time we have to wait until the setting is applied to clients. Clients may also need to log out and log back in to make the settings effective.

Opening the Local Group Policy

Okay, so the first thing to do in this situation is to introduce a local security policy. We can do this by pressing the Windows + R key to launch the Run dialog box, and from there copy and paste the secpol.msc file and press Enter.

Assigning User Rights

The next step is to open the Assignment of User Rights window from the newly opened window. You can do this by going to Security Settings and selecting Local Policies below. Then click Assign User Rights. Finally, double-click Access this computer over the network.

Basically, this function determines which user can access the network from another computer.

Add a New User or Group

Finally, you need to add a new user or group to get things back on track. In the window that appears when you double-click Access this computer via the network, we expect users to click Add User or Group. Make all the changes, then click the OK button and continue.
