  1. First, launch Google Chrome and click on the Menu button (a small button in the shape of three horizontal stripes).
  2. The Chrome main menu appears. Select the “Settings” option.
  3. You will see the Chrome settings page. Scroll down and click on the “Show Advanced Settings” link.
  4. Scroll down again and click on the Reset Settings button.
  5. Google Chrome will open the profile settings reset page as shown in the image above.
  6. Then click on the Reset button.
  7. Once this process is complete, your web browser home page, new tab and default search provider will be reset to their default values.

Resetting group policy settings to default values

Open CMD in the administrator mode.

Insert under the code –

RD /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicyUsers”.
RD /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\Group Policy”.
gpupdate / force

After a few seconds, you will see the following –

The update of the usage policy has been successfully completed.
The update of the IT policy has been successfully completed.

You can now change your search engine for what you want.

Enable or disable the SAFESEARCH function.

  • Visit the search settings page.
  • Locate the “SafeSearch Filter” section.
  • Activate SafeSearch by checking the box next to “Filter exact results”. When SafeSearch is enabled, sexually explicit videos and images are filtered from Google search results pages, as well as results that can point to explicit content.
  • Disable SafeSearch by unchecking the box. If SafeSearch is disabled, we will provide you with the most relevant results for your search and may include explicit content during the search.
  • Click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.
