1] Problems with codec packs
The main problem I have seen in most cases is the installation of different codecs that can cause conflicts. For example, if you install VLC Code Pack or perhaps the K-Lite Codec Pack, the codec version may be different, which can cause reading problems.
So I would recommend to uninstall all codecs like K-Lite Codec Pack, Media Player classic, VLC and MPC Star first.
Reboot the system after uninstalling all codecs. Then run the Windows Media Player troubleshooting packages to make sure the native codec is intact. Use this manual to solve problems with Windows Media Player. If you are using Windows Media Player, run the Fix WMP tool mentioned in this article.
When you have completed this process, reboot the system.

2] Display or video driver update
The defective video playback problem is often caused by the video card driver, and a simple update could correct things.
Continue and press the Windows + R key to display the print box. Then enter devmgmt.msc.msc in the field and press Enter to start the Device Manager. Navigate to the display adapter and right click on your video card, then select Update driver and continue from there.
Expand Display adapter and see if you have a yellow exclamation mark. If it exists, it means that the display drivers are not installed correctly. You need to update your drivers.
3] Remove and reinstall the video card driver
Press the Windows + Run button, then type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box. Click Enter and watch Device Manager start. Navigate to the display adapter and right click on the video card.
