- Press Windows + R and type “devmgmt.msc” in the Run dialog box. Press Enter and the Device Manager window opens.
- In this window, double-click on Network Adapter to expand it.
- Identify the network adapter your computer is currently using, right-click it and select Update Driver.
- In the Update Driver dialog box, click Automatic Location. Windows is looking for the updated driver.
- Then open the Network and Sharing Centre. To open, right-click the network icon in the notification area of your computer and select Open Network and Share Center.
- In the left menu, search and click on Modify adapter settings.
- Then right-click on your wireless network and select Properties.
- Disable Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) to disable it. Click on OK
Temporarily disable the antivirus software
The next method would be to make sure that the Chrome browser is not blocked by your computer’s antivirus program. This can be confirmed by temporarily disabling the antivirus program.
Right-click on the program icon in the taskbar, then click Disable automatic protection.
On the next screen, select the period up to which you want to disable the antivirus program, then click OK.

If the antivirus program blocks the Chrome browser, you must remove the antivirus program from your computer and reinstall it.
