Microsoft Teams complete the loop for those who have invested heavily in Microsoft’s software services ecosystem. Check the Service Status of Microsoft Teams

The Microsoft Teams app may crash or refuse to open when Microsoft services are unavailable for maintenance. You can check the status of the service in the control panel of your Office 365 account.

• Start the Office 365 Management Center.
• Go to Service Health. Here you can view the status of the service and any actions taken to resolve the problem.
• Note that you may need admin access to check the service status. If you do not have admin access, contact the administration.

• All service-related issues are automatically resolved within a few hours or a day, and there’s little you can do about it.

Clear the Teams Cache

1. Quit the Microsoft Team desktop client completely. You can either right-click Teams in the toolbar and select Exit, or launch Task Manager and complete the process.
2. Go to File Explorer and enter %appdata%\Microsoft\teams
3. Once you are in the directory, you will see some of the following folders:
   Switch from the “application cache” to the cache and delete one of the files in the cache. “%appdata%\Microsoft\Team\Application Cache”
   If necessary, delete all “Blob_storage” files from here. “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage”
   In “Cache”, delete all the “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache” files.
   In “Databases”, delete all the files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases”.
   In “GPUCache”, delete all the files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache”.
   In “IndexedDB”, delete the .db file “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB”.
   In “Local Storage”, delete all the files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage”.
   Finally, under “tmp”, delete the file “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp”.
4. When the cleanup is finally complete, you can now restart the teams from your local office and see if the problem disappears.
5. Or you can try reinstalling the teams.

Delete Client Credentials

• If the control panel does not report any problems with the Microsoft Teams service, try deleting the Microsoft Teams account details in the Reference Manager.
• Ensure that Microsoft Teams is closed.
• Press Windows + R to open Run.
• Enter the control and click OK.
• In the Control Panel, go to User Accounts.
• Select the Windows Login Information tab on the right side.
• Expand the Microsoft Office 365/Teams section by clicking the drop-down button.
• Click Remove.
• Click Yes to confirm the action.
• Close the control panel and restart Microsoft Teams.
• Enter the user name and password for Office 365 and log in. Verify that the problem is resolved.

Try Another Device and Connection

Troubleshooting can take time and there is a lot to do. Here’s a quick fix. The Microsoft Teams application is available on the Internet, on the desktop and on mobile devices. Have you tried another platform like Windows, Android or another browser like Firefox?
