“Print Unable ZC” indicates that the unit has detected an irregular power supply. This error may be the result of a problem with the machine, but it is much more likely that the error is due to the operating environment. Usually this error occurs because the unit is connected to a special power source such as a generator, uninterruptible power supply (UPS/battery backup) or inverter.
The Brother printer has many features that set it apart from other printing devices. It allows you to print your documents without delay. However, due to certain technical problems, your printer may experience common errors. Brother Printer Error Printing Not Possible ZC is a common error that indicates that the machine has detected an irregular power supply. This error may be the result of a problem with the machine, but it is much more likely that the error was caused by the operating environment. If you experience this error, do not apply power. Troubleshooting Print Unable ZC Error
- Are you using a special power source such as a generator, uninterruptible power supply (UPS/battery backup) or inverter?
- Is the unit’s power cord connected to a lightning arrester, power outlet or other device?
To solve this problem:
Restart the Printer
“Print Unable ZC” will appear on the display of your device in the event of a mechanical malfunction of the Brother device.
- Press and hold the power button to turn off the device.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the unit.
- Wait approximately 30 seconds Reconnect the power cord to the unit.
- Press and hold the power button to turn on the unit.
Insert a Filter into the Power Supply.
Since this problem is related to an irregular power supply, think of a way to get the noise out. For newcomers, power supply noise is a combination of periodic waves and unwanted spikes with random noise from devices or other external sources.
So you could use a noise filter on the power supply, just as you use filters to remove noise from a signal. To be more precise, a filter consisting of L2 and C3 is an ideal choice. The output voltage of the power supply is then filtered by the LC filter.
The high-frequency noise, which is caused by both the switching frequency and the switching transition frequency, is finally attenuated.
Installing a Voltage Stabilizer on the Power Supply
As a last resort, if an irregular power supply causes the “Print Unable ZC” error, you can try installing a voltage stabilizer on the power supply.
There are several types of voltage stabilizers that can successfully maintain a circuit’s voltage at a certain level, but keep in mind that voltage stabilizers in integrated circuits are among the most reliable options.
