There can be many events that have led to errors in system files. Incomplete installation, incomplete uninstallation, incorrect removal of applications or hardware. It can also be caused if your computer is recovered from a virus or adware/spyware attack or an inappropriate computer shutdown. All of the above activations may result in deletion or corruption of Windows system file entries. This corrupted system file leads to missing and incorrectly linked information and files needed for the application to run properly.
We can try the following steps and see if it works for you.
METHOD 1 – Disable antivirus software
If you are using antivirus software, disable it.
In most cases, system recovery does not successfully complete because an antivirus program is already running on the computer and system recovery tries to use a file that is also used by the antivirus.
METHOD 2 – run sfc
The sfc utility reports any corrupted system files that may have caused a system restore that has not been successfully performed.
1. Click Start and type the command prompt in the search box to open the command prompt.

METHOD 3 – Start your computer in safe mode.
You can check whether you can boot in safe mode and perform system recovery by selecting another recovery point.
On the Advanced Startup Options screen, you can start Windows in Advanced Troubleshooting mode. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing F8 before Windows starts.
System Restore error 0xc0000056 and other critical errors can occur if your Windows operating system is damaged. Program opening becomes slower and response times are delayed. If multiple applications are running, crashes and freezes may occur. There may be many reasons for this error, including excessive boot entries, registry errors, hardware/ RAM memory losses, fragmented files, unnecessary or redundant program installations, etc.
