Sometimes it can also occur if there are problems with the Windows firewall or other third-party antivirus programs because they may prevent the installation of another Windows update on the system or disable the service required to install the updates.
Solutions to Fix Error code 8E5E03FA:
Cleaning Temp Folder
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter’R’.
When the Run window appears, type “temp” without quotes and press Enter.
Now that you have opened the Explorer window with the temporary system files folder.
Click on any file or folder in the window and hold down the’CTRL’ key and the’A’ alphabet at the same time.
Reset the Catroot2 folder
Catroot2 stores all Windows certified drivers for downloading and installing Windows updates.

Click the Start Orb button, type cmd in the Find all programs and files box, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
At the command prompt, type the following commands, then press ENTER after each command. Please enter the spaces, as the commands must be exactly the same. You can also right-click and paste the prompt :
net stop cryptsvc cryptsvc cryptsvc
systemroot%2\catroot2\edb.log *.tst *.tst
net start cryptsvc cryptsvc cryptsvc
