Does the voice chat not work in Fortnite? Don’t worry about it. Although it’s incredibly frustrating, you’re certainly not the only one with this problem. Thousands of players have reported the same problem recently. More importantly, you should be able to repair it fairly easily.

3. Now click on the Recording tab, right-click on the audio device you are using and set it as the default device. Also make sure it is activated first.
4. Save and exit the changes. Restart your computer and check that the problem is solved.

Changes in the Registry

Another solution that worked for many users was to make changes to the registry elements. Fortnite has had this problem for some time and after each reported incident, a new update is published to fix it. However, many users reported that changing registry keys fixed the problem.

Press Windows + R, enter “regedit” in the dialog box and press Enter.
If you are in the Registry Editor, navigate to the following address:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Epic Games

HKEY_USERSLONG-STRING-OF-CHARACTERS-REMOVED\Software\Epic Games

You can also search for epic games using the search bar above.

As soon as you have found the directories, delete them individually.
After deletion, restart your computer and try to start Fortnite. Check that the voice chat is working properly.
