Windows 10 has a dark mode, but not all UWP applications support it. Standard UWP applications have a dark mode, but many third-party UWP applications and not all desktop applications have it. For some applications, it does not make sense to have a dark mode, such as Minecraft. It’s a game, a very colorful game, and darkening everything in the dark will affect the experience. However, some parts of the user interface still make do with a dark mode, such as the inventory view, settings view, and world selection screen. Here’s how you can get a dark mode in Minecraft.

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is the modern foundation on which almost all versions of Minecraft are built today. While the Java Edition on the PC is still a great place to play Minecraft and offers fantastic features like full mod support, it lacks some of the best that the Bedrock Edition has to offer. Those who play the Bedrock Edition enjoy full multiplayer support with players from other platforms or realms and private servers and play a more efficient game that looks and feels the same and can be played anywhere.

How to Get Dark Mode in Minecraft for Windows 10

To get a dark mode in Minecraft, we’re going to use a texture pack. The one we use is for the Bedrock/UWP version and a package for the Java version is in progress. If you have the Java version of Minecraft, you should keep an eye on this package. The package was last updated at the end of December 2019.

  • Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
  • Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.

Installation Instructions:

– Download the resource pack
– take-off of a plane from the mine
– Click Options…
– Click Resource Packs…
– Click on Open Resource Folder Folder
– Put the .zip file here

To install this texture package, open the file explorer and go to the following location Replace “Your username” with your current username.

Copy the MCPACK file to this location. If you opened Minecraft, close it and reopen it. On the main screen, click Settings. Scroll down and click the Global Resources section in the left column. Under the My Packs section, you will find the Dark Mode pack. Click on it and click the Enable button. Return to the main screen and the pack is applied.

Once applied, it changes the main screen, all settings windows in Minecraft, and the inventory and crafting views in games. The appearance of the other blocks will not change, e.g. the lawn will still be green and the sky will be light blue. If you want to change the appearance of these blocks to something darker, you’ll have to look for a texture pack that will do the job.
