In addition to automatic correction, adding stickers and emoticons to chat messages makes communication quick and easy. If you use OneNote as your default note, you can add graphic stickers or emojis to OneNote to improve communication.
With the widespread use of mobile devices in the business world, peer-to-peer communication has had to evolve to allow various forms of shorthand notes suitable for chat applications and users with reduced thumb mobility. One of the most common forms of shorthand communication developed for the age of mobility is the icon-based vocabulary known as emojis.
Insert Stickers to OneNote
- To add a sticker to your notes, follow these steps:
- On any page, click where you want to add a sticker.
- On the Insert tab, click Stickers.
- In the Stickers pane that opens, click the sticker you want to insert.
- If the label you want to insert does not appear, select another category icon on the left side of the Labels panel.
Customizing Stickers in OneNote
You can change an inserted sticker as follows :
To move a sticker to another location on your page, place the mouse pointer over the sticker until you see a crosshair cursor icon, then click and drag the sticker to the new location.
To change the size of a sticker, click and drag one of the size handles in the corners of the sticker (On a platter, you can tap and then use two fingers to press or stretch the sticker).
To rotate or flip a sticker, click to select the sticker, then click the Ribbon Image tab to see the flip and rotate commands.
To set a sticker as a background image so you can touch it, click the Image tab to select the sticker, then click Set Image as Background.
Insert the Emoji to OneNote
To add one or more emoji to the text in your notes, do the following:
- On any page, click where you want to add an emoji.
- Press Start + Dot ( . ) on your keyboard to open the emoji window.
To find and add an emoji, do one of the following:
At the bottom of the emoji window, click on a category icon (for example, smileys and animals, people, parties and objects, etc.) to see all the emojis available in that category, then click the emoji you want to add.
To quickly find an emoji without using categories, type the name of an emoji (for example, “party”) to see all available emojis that match this description, then click on the emoji you want to insert.
