Roku is an excellent streaming device, and the new interface is much more pleasant and fluid than the old one. It’s a popular set-top box for watching Netflix, Amazon and WWE Network as well as other movies and TV shows. It has more channels, but you can add more channels that are not in the channel store.
Changing the theme is one way to personalize your Roku experience. From the color and styles of the menus to the image that appears in the background, a theme determines the overall look of the Roku interface. Many themes are included in your Roku Streaming Player or Roku TV, while others can be downloaded from the Roku Channel Store.
How to Change Roku Device Home Screen Theme
- Start by selecting the “Settings” option on the left side of the Roku startup screen.
- The third option at the bottom of the new menu is “Theme”. Continue and select it.
- You can choose between two options: “Browse Themes” and “Custom Settings”. Click the first button to see what’s available for your device.
- With over 40 topics to choose from, you can browse the catalog to see what’s right for you. Choose the one you like the most with your controller.
- You will now see the subject information page. Select the “Set as topic” button.
The new topic has been placed on the home screen of your Roku TV, streaming stick, or set-top box. Scroll through the interface to review the changes you’ve made.
Roku Seasonal and Featured Themes
On various occasions throughout the year, Roku publishes seasonal or special themes such as Thanksgiving or Halloween, which are only published for a short period of time, for example 3 days. Your Roku device will automatically display a seasonal or special theme and will automatically revert to its original state when it expires.
You can disable seasonal and special themes by opening the “Themes” menu with steps 1 through 3 above, then selecting “Custom Settings” and turning “Special Themes” on or off.
And Roku makes it all really fun. After you’ve had a lot of fun switching from one theme to another, you can always add more and make it a fun home routine. Smart TVs are usually big, and if you stretch your imagination a bit, a screensaver can be like a substitute for a picture.
Roku devices offer many other hidden and interesting features. These are just a few of the most remarkable and popular features. It’s a good thing to change things from time to time – imagine yourself walking on a Roku background with a balloon theme when you’re feeling down.
