I sometimes wonder why double-click when you can click once ! One of the first things I do after reinstalling Windows is to change the double click to open the file in one click.
Double-click Change single click
To make this change, you must make a setting in your options folder (Windows 8/7) – now File Explorer Options in Windows 10.
Enter ‘‘ Folder‘ in Start Search and click Folder Options or File Explorer Options.
Here, under the General tab, you see Click the items as follows.
Select One click to open an entry (select point).
You can also select option Underline icon tiles only if I point to them.
Click Apply > OK > Exit.
When you do this, you only need to click once on an icon with the mouse pointer to open a file.
