1. Download and install the repair tool here.

Although you can disable Flash in the browser you are using, I recommend that you completely uninstall your computer if you want to unlock it for good. In addition, disabling Flash in your browser may not be enough to protect your computer!

If you are using multiple browsers on Windows, you may have installed more than one version of Flash Player. However, it is easy to remove them all at the same time.

Using Flash Player Uninstaller

1. Click on the uninstall icon you have downloaded from your browser. This is probably done automatically when you do it in Internet Explorer. If you use Chrome, it may appear as a clickable
2. Download at the bottom left; in Firefox, the download icon appears at the top right or in a separate “Downloads” box.
3. Follow the instructions to load the uninstaller. If the message “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer” appears, click Yes.
4. Once the uninstaller is open, close all open programs and click Uninstall to remove Flash Player.
5. Restart the computer.
6. Delete all remaining files (except the FlashInstall.log file) and folders in the following directories (you can simply copy and paste these file paths into the search bar of the File Explorer):

C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash (do not delete the FlashInstall.log file)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash (if you are using a 64-bit system; do not delete the FlashInstall.log file)
Appdata%\Adobe\Flash Player
Appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player

Make sure that the files FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl, FlashPlayerApp.exe and FlashPlayerInstaller.exe in C:\Windows\system32\ (for 32-bit systems) or C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ (if you use a 64-bit system) have been deleted.

At this point, the Flash player must be completely removed from your computer. Restart your computer and follow these steps to reinstall Flash Player.

Before proceeding, you must log in with your administrator account and disable Flash Player in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge Browser, even if you are not using it or if you set it as your default browser.

Start the Edge Browser browser, go to’Settings’, select’Advanced Settings’ and move the cursor to’Use Adobe Flash Player’ in the’Off’ position.

Then open the File Explorer and go to the following address C:\Windows\servicing\Packages and search for the following entries–

Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64….(version number of the Flash Player)
Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-WOW64-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64….(version number of the Flash player #)
Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-onecoreuap-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64…(version number of the Flash Player)

1. Note the names of these Adobe Flash programs.
2. Now open the Registry Editor by opening the Run dialog box and typing regedit.exe in the empty field. Press’Enter’.
3. Right-click on the three buttons that have the 3 names above one by one and select “Permissions”.
4. Enable full control of the administrator account by clicking on “Allow”.

You will be surprised at how well the web now works without Flash Player, so you may not even believe that Flash has disappeared from your system.
