A common feature that is always found in different applications and platforms is the “dark mode”, whether it’s Messenger or Google Chrome or Google App for Smartphones. WhatsApp has also made its debut and will soon introduce dark mode on its platform. Dark mode for WhatsApp has not yet been officially introduced.
The good news is that if you want to enable dark mode on your Android or iOS device, you can do so and here are the quick steps that can help. One thing to keep in mind here is that for Android users who have the latest Q-Beta version of Android, this feature can only be enabled now.
To Enable WhatsApp Dark Mode on Android 10
Android 10 allows users to enable dark mode via system settings. WhatsApp users can simply use the dark mode in the system’s default settings to enable it automatically.
Step 1: Download and install the latest version of your WhatsApp from the Google Play store.
Step 2: Open your phone settings.
Step 3: Open the screen and activate dark mode.
Step 4: WhatsApp automatically switches to dark mode.
Step 5: You can also manually change the dark mode to WhatsApp. Open the WhatsApp settings.
Step 5: Open the Cats, then go to the topic.
Step 6: Choose between “System Default”, “Light”, or “Dark” depending on your choice.
WhatsApp Dark Mode is a redesign of the popular messaging application that replaces its traditional palette of light greys and greens with darker tones designed to reduce glare at night. It does not replace the current look, but is available as an option for anyone who wants to use it.
There are several reasons why you might want to try it. First, you may be one of the many people who find dark backgrounds easier to see over long periods of time or at night. To highlight this point, WhatsApp has released a video showing people flashing in front of bright screens (along with a previously unpublished version of Paul SImon’s The Sound of Silence) to mark the release of the dark mode.
