Facebook has recently introduced a new design for its web interface. The company has also introduced a new dark mode. The dark mode is currently only available for the Facebook web interface. But it now seems that the social media platform is adding a dark mode to its mobile application.
Facebook’s long-awaited dark mode is now available for Android and desktop users. If you want your Facebook account to appear a little lighter and in an impressive blackish style, here’s what you need to do to make it happen.
Many other social media platforms already have the “dark mode” feature. Of course, Facebook will not allow its platform to be the last to use this particular feature.
How to Enable Dark Mode in Facebook App for Android and iOS
If the dark mode is available, you can set it via the application menu. Simply tap the hamburger icon in the upper right corner (below the messenger icon) and scroll down. Now tap on “Settings and privacy”. You will find the “dark mode” below the option “Your time on Facebook” and above the option “Language”.
If you are not offered this option, try switching to the latest version of the Facebook application. If it’s still not available, you’ll have to wait a little longer for Facebook to launch a wider deployment. It may not be long before the social media giant introduces black mode for everyone.
However, Facebook has confirmed that for the time being, the dark mode of the mobile application will only be available to a limited number of users around the world. If you would like to enable dark mode on your Facebook mobile application, please follow these step-by-step instructions.
We expect a full dark mode for Facebook on iOS, iPadOS and Android to be available soon and we’ll keep you informed as soon as we know more. We have already seen the introduction of the dark mode for Instagram and WhatsApp and hope to see it available soon.
