To improve navigation in Microsoft Edge, Microsoft has adopted the Chromium source code. This has resulted in the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge, which has many interesting features. Understanding the Focus Mode
- In focus mode, you can open a tab as a separate window without settings, address bar, favorites bar, etc. Settings and other icons are available, but they do not contain the options available in normal settings.
- In focus mode, you can use keyboard shortcuts to open the favorites bar, manage favorites, open a new InPrivate window, access history, and more.
- In focus mode, the tab is reserved for the use of a single web page/web site. You can use the New Tab button or icon in focus mode, but it opens the same web page/website.

Enabling Focus Mode in Microsoft Chromium Edge
If you want to try the chrome trim mode, you must do the following:
- Download and install the latest version of Microsoft Edge Chromium
- In the Edge Chromium address bar, type or copy and paste the following flag address and press Enter
edge://flags/#focus-mode
- The focus mode flag is thus highlighted by a yellow color. Use the drop-down list to change the settings from Default to On.
- Click the Restart button. This will restart the browser to apply the changes. This activates the focus mode in the Chromium Edge browser.
- To use the Focus Mode function for the relevant tab page, right-click the tab page and select Focus this tab page from the context menu.
You will see that the focus mode is now activated for the tab in question.
