How to Enable JavaScript in your Browser

How do I enable JavaScript on Windows 10?

Enabling JavaScript on Google Chrome

  • Open Chrome on your computer.

  • Click JavaScript.
  • Select Allow (recommended).

Enabling JavaScript in Mozilla Firefox

To enable JavaScript in Firefox on a Windows computer:

  • In Firefox, click on the Tools menu
  • Select options
  • Click on the icon/tab Content
  • Please activate “Enable JavaScript”.
  • Click on OK.

Enable JavaScript on Apple Safari

To enable JavaScript in Safari on a Windows computer :

  • Click on “Edit” at the top of the browser window
  • Choose preferences…
  • Choose the Security icon/tab (at the top of the window)
  • Enable “Enable JavaScript”.
  • Close the window.
  • Refresh the browser.

Enable JavaScript on Opera

Open the browser and click on the Opera button in the upper left corner and select Preferences once it is unfolded. Select the Quick Preferences option and then the Enable JavaScript option.
Refresh your page and you will see that JavaScript is enabled.

Enabling JavaScript on Microsoft Edge

For Microsoft Edge, you need to disable JavaScript in the Windows Group Policy Editor, not in your browser settings. This is the case with Windows 10 :

  • Launch the Edit Group Policy program.
  • Expand the User Configuration folder.
  • Expand the Administrative Templates folder.
  • Expand the Windows Components folder.
  • Expand the Microsoft Edge folder.
  • Double-click Allow scripts, such as Javascript, to run.
  • Select Disabled and click OK to confirm.
