Clear your CMOS (or load the optimized BIOS default values) to ensure that there are no incorrect BIOS settings. When you delete the CMOS from your motherboard, your BIOS settings are reset to the factory default values. The settings that the motherboard manufacturer has defined for most users are those that most users would use.

MemTest86+ is known to detect RAM errors in passes after the eighth pass. This is for information purposes only; if you think there is an obvious problem with RAM and 8 runs have shown no errors, you are invited to continue for longer.

Running 8 passes of MemTest86+ is a long and tedious exercise and the more RAM you have, the longer it will take. It is recommended to perform the MemTest86+ shortly before bedtime and leave it overnight.
