8. If the commands run correctly, close the command line.

Remove the policy from the registry editor

1. Press the Windows + R key to open “Run”.
2. Type Regedit and click OK to open the registry editor.
3. If UAC asks you for administrative privileges, click Yes to continue.
4. In the registry editor, navigate to the following location:
5. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesGoogleChrome.
6. You can also copy and paste the above path into the registry editor to access it.
7. In the right pane, highlight the values that look suspicious.
8. Right-click on the values and select Delete.
9. Once all suspicious values are deleted, close the Registry Editor.
10. Restart Google Chrome and check if the error is fixed.

Disable the Google Docs offline extension

1. Start Google Chrome.
2. Click the menu icon (three horizontal bars).
3. Select Tools, then click Extensions.

5. Find the Google Docs offline extension and drag the switch to disable this extension.
