• Click the Browse Topics tab in the navigation pane. It looks like a long page. Your document is divided into topics in the navigation pane. If you have not assigned title styles to your document, you will only see the document and subtitles.
• Click on the title of the section you want to move and drag it to a new position in the window. As you move through the headings in your document, a black line will appear. When you release the mouse, the title and the information it contains fall below the black line to rearrange your pages.

Moving Pages in Word with Keyboard Copy and Paste Shortcut

If using the navigation pane is not convenient for your document type, a good old-fashioned copy and paste will suffice. And if you prefer to maneuver with your keyboard this way, here’s how to move a page.

• Place your cursor at the very beginning of the text on the page you want to move.
• Hold down the Shift key and press the Page Down key (Pg Dn). This will capture all the text on the screen. If you need to select more, continue to hold down the Shift key and press the Page Down key again. You can do this until you have everything.
• Press Ctrl + X to cut the selected text.
• Move the cursor to where you want to move the page and press Control (Ctrl) + V to paste the text you just cut in step 3.
