Have you ever wanted to post a YouTube video on Instagram?
After all, YouTube is quite popular. It is the second largest search engine in the world. We watch about a billion hours of YouTube every day. Think about that number for a moment. One. Billions. Hours.
So chances are some of this video content is perfect for your Instagram audience, whether it’s in the form of tickets or Instagram stories. However, there is currently no direct way to share YouTube videos with Instagram. That’s why we show you this little-known solution for uploading videos to YouTube. Is your Instagram account ready? Then let’s do it.
How to upload a YouTube video to Instagram
Direct sharing of YouTube videos with Instagram is not yet possible, so if you wish to publish YouTube videos in your Instagram, you must follow a three-step procedure. However, this process is relatively simple, although some methods may be more complex than others and may take a considerable amount of time to upload and edit the files you wish to share in your Instagram account.
Upload Videos to YouTube
Before posting YouTube videos to Instagram, you must first upload the YouTube videos to your Android, iPhone or computer. You can do this using a desktop application or online service. There are many free online services available today that allow you to stream YouTube videos to a file on your device.
Edit and convert the file to meet the requirements of the Instagram video.
I recommend using a white background to blend in with Instagram’s natural light color. Change the background color using the buttons in the left column.
You can also crop the video to the correct length for Instagram. For IGs, videos should be less than 1 minute (60 seconds). So make sure your message is no longer than 60 seconds. To change the start and end time of your YouTube video, click the “Trim Video” button in the upper left corner. I’ve trimmed this YouTube video to a one-minute segment so I can publish it to my Instagram feed.
You can also edit it for Instagram Stories or IGTV. Click on the second resize option in the Resize, Stories (Snap/Insta) or IGTV menu. When you click a new resize option, your video preview is immediately updated.
Upload the Video to Instagram.
The final step in publishing YouTube videos to Instagram is the easiest. Once you have the YouTube video suitable for Instagram on your Android/iPhone/iPad phone, the file should already be placed on your camera roll. Simply open Instagram and tap the “+” symbol at the bottom of the Instagram application.
Then tap “Library” (iPhone) or “Gallery” (Android) at the bottom left of the screen, select the video file for your camera role and click “Next” to publish it to your Instagram account. Click “Next” and continue to add a description and tags to your post to help you expand your fan base.
Keep this in mind: It’s important to remember that uploading videos to YouTube is for personal use only, otherwise you risk violating a number of privacy and copyright laws.
We hope this tutorial will help you take a few steps in the process of publishing YouTube videos on Instagram.
