Group chats on Snapchat are somewhat anarchic – instead of leaving control to the person who set up the chat, anyone can change the name of the chat and add new members to the group (although there is a limit of 32 people).
Snapchat is a social media app that hides photos and clips from the stream when they are viewed. There is no feature on Snapchat to remove someone from a group discussion.
The good news, however, is that there are ways around this monitoring. Which option you choose depends on your settings and why you want to remove that person from a group chat.
How do I remove people from Snapchat groups?
So you want to remove someone from a Snapchat group, but you don’t know how to do it. Removing a person from a Snapchat group can be cumbersome, but I’ll show you how to do it.
Tell them to leave
The only person who can get rid of a member of a Snapchat group is that individual. So just ask the individual to leave the group.
Hold on tight so that the group expires
If no one adds a new snapshot to the chat, the group expires after one day and disappears. You can just wait for that to happen.
Create a new group
This allows you to drop the content of the group, but you can create another group with all the people in the first group except the member you want to get rid of. When you do this, all the members of the new group leave the original group and leave the attacker alone. It’s pretty hard, I know, but it may be the only way.
One of the reasons for Snapchat’s continued success is that they continue to add unique new features, such as the ability to create group discussions.
While there is currently no way to remove someone from group chats in Snapchat, there are a few workarounds you can use if someone in your group is causing problems
