If you receive an error message when downloading an activity from your Garmin device indicating that your download was a “partially damaged file that could be truncated”, it means that a recording error occurred on your device and that the file was at least partially damaged. Strava has stored as much information as possible from the file – and this data will now be available on your Strava account. If part of your activity is missing during the download, there is unfortunately no way to restore the rest of the activity.
