Many Windows users have encountered a “DVD Setup” error. This error message indicates that the Monitor Hardware driver could not be loaded. This usually happens when you try to install drivers (especially the motherboard driver) from a DVD.
It’s a boring problem. This error prevents you from installing the driver for your device. And you’re probably thinking about what to do to fix it.
Reinstall a clean system.
It is possible that your Windows system contains incorrect files or configurations that cause the error. You can solve these problems by reinstalling your operating system properly.
You must have Windows installation support before you can perform an installation. You can consult this article (for Windows 7) or this article (for Windows 10) to create a Windows installation support.
Then connect the media to your computer and start the computer from it. You will then launch the Windows installation program.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process, remove your computer’s operating system and install a new one.
Reinstalling the video driver to correct the “Failed hardware loading” error in the monitor driver on Windows 10
To fix the error “Hardware monitor driver could not be loaded”, you can try uninstalling your graphics driver under Windows 10 and then reinstalling it.
To completely uninstall your video driver, do the following:
Step 1: Right-click Start, then click Device Manager.
Step 2: Under Display Adapter, locate the video card.
Right-click on the video card and then click Uninstall.
Step 4: Windows prompts you to confirm that you want to delete the device. Click OK to remove the driver.
Step 5: Restart your PC after uninstalling the video driver.
To reinstall the video driver, do the following:
Step 1: Click Start, then click Settings.
Step 2: Select Update and Recovery
Step 3. Click on Check for updates.
Windows Update detects your system and downloads all appropriate drivers for Windows 10, including your video driver.
Disable the application of the driver’s signature
Try these steps to permanently disable the driver’s signature of the application:
- Press Windows + X and select Command prompt (Admin).
- Enter the administrator’s credentials when prompted.
- In the Command Prompt window, type or copy this command:
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on
- Press the Enter key.
Note: To reactivate it, enter the following command: bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off off.
Please also note that disabling the driver’s signature application makes the driver vulnerable because this feature provides additional protection.
Contact the manufacturer of the device.
The “Failed to Load Hardware Monitor Driver” error can also be caused by hardware problems. There may be problems with your DVD player or other devices. You can contact the manufacturers of your devices to find out if they can help you solve your problem.
