Some of those who wanted to start the weekend with binging on Hulu could not do so after reporting a loading error, “error94”, in the streaming service. The apparent error on Hulu led users to wonder why the service was not working.
There are dozens of different Hulu error codes, and Hulu error messages are not always very clear about how to explain the problem. Some Hulu error codes indicate a problem with your device, others are caused by bad Internet connections, and some are the result of hardware problems. You can even get an error code if Hulu himself has service interruptions, but the message usually does not express it clearly.
Check your Internet connection and speed.
You should check if you have enough speed to broadcast Hulu. You can use Speedtest.net to see what your current speed is. Even if you pay for sufficient speed, you may not get it because of problems with the company you pay for Internet access, or because of problems with your router. You may even be too far from the router. Hulu requires a download speed of at least 1.5 Mbps in SD. For better quality, you will need the following speeds;
- HD 720p : 3 Mbps
- HD 1080p : 6 Mbps
- 4K Ultra HD: 13 Mbps
The next thing to do is to turn off your router, modem and the device to which you want to broadcast Hulu. Here is a breakdown of what you should try and the order in which you can try it.
Close the Hulu application completely.
On some devices, simply leaving the Hulu application can cause some functions to be performed in the background. Closing the application completely ensures that all application functions are disabled and that the application can be restarted.
Disable the device
Sometimes, simply deactivating the device, then reactivating it to speed up the flow and it can start working properly. Therefore, in this step, we will log in to the Account page and reactivate it after deleting it. For that:
- Open a web browser and navigate to the official Hulu page.
- Click on the login option and enter your contact information.
- Move the mouse over the block icon at the top right and select “Account” from the list.
- In the “Your account” section, click on the “Manage devices” button next to the “See Hulu on your devices” option.
- Click on Delete next to the device to deactivate it.
- Reactivate it by adding the code when connecting to the device and see if this solves the problem.
Updating the application
This process is different for different streaming devices, but we have listed the steps for the most commonly used. If your device is different, you will always find instructions on the Internet.
Uninstalling or reinstalling the Hulu application
Depending on your device, you can uninstall and reinstall the Hulu application to solve some streaming problems. It is also a good way to make sure you have the latest version of our application on your device.
The uninstall/reinstall steps vary depending on the device you use to display Hulu.
