An iTunes 3194 error usually occurs when trying to restore or upgrade your iPhone or iPad to another iOS. Before proceeding to fix this error, let’s take a look at the possible causes of this technical error and, based on this, perform the fixes to solve the problem.
Possible causes of the iTunes 3194 error when you restore or upgrade your iPhone / iPad
- Your iTunes cannot contact the Apple Software Update Server. This may be due to a locked connection, security software on your system, or a new entry in your hosts file.
- Apple will no longer sign the digital signature of the iOS version you are installing or updating.
- You have used a cracking software to modify your iPhone or iPad. Optimized hacking changes the hosts file and blocks Apple servers. This causes problems when you later try to upgrade your iOS to the latest version or restore from backup, causing the iTunes 3194 to fail.
Confirm your Internet connection
First, make sure that the computer running iTunes has an active Internet connection and has access to the outside world.
Sometimes, rebooting your computer and router/modem may solve connection problems.
Confirm that your connection is not blocked.
Then you want to make sure that routers, firewalls, security software, antivirus programs or similar software do not actively block domains and access to Apple servers.
An easy way to check this is to disable these types of filters and see if iTunes can recover your iPhone or iPad properly.
Restore or upgrade from another computer
Try to restore or update on another computer with a different Internet connection. This way, you can make sure that there are no problems on your computer that may prevent you from exchanging data with the update server.

Disable antivirus software
