a. Click the Start button, type regedit.exe, then press Enter.
b. Go to the next place: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current version\Explorer\User shell

– Right-click on an empty area in the right window and select New > String value.
– Enter the name of the missing key, for example Common programs.
– Right-click on the newly created registry key and select Edit.
– In the Edit character string dialog box, enter a valid path in the Value data field.
– Restart the computer.
