In order for your ultrasound scanner to have new features, it is often necessary to update the firmware or software that powers it. As long as the unit is connected to WiFi, it checks for updates at night. If you want to set up a new feature immediately, follow these steps to force your Echo to update its firmware.
What is an Echo Buds?
The answer is simple: it’s Amazon’s first real attempt to develop intelligent, truly wireless earplugs. The more complicated answer is that they are part of the company’s broader effort to make its intelligent assistant even more ubiquitous around the world.
The main feature of Echo Buds is the inclusion of Alexa, which allows you to give hands-free commands to stream music, make phone calls or get directions to your destination. And if you prefer another AI assistant, Echo Buds also provide access to Google Assistant and Siri if you have an iPhone or Android device. Just press and hold the headset, and it’s as if you’re talking directly to your phone, even if it’s in your pocket.
Echo buttons also feature Bose active noise reduction technology, a sealed in-ear design to limit background noise, 3 sizes of earplugs and up to 5 hours of music playback per charge (or up to 20 if you carry the charging cradle).
Check the Software Version of your Echo Device
Display your current software version in the Alexa application.
- Open the Alexa application
- Selecting devices
- Select Echo & Alexa
- Select your device
- Select About to view the software version of your device.
How to Update your Echo Buds Firmware
Echo Buds normally update automatically overnight when they are inactive for a long period of time, so updating is less likely to be interrupted.
However, you can try to practically force the update if you are too curious about new features. The process is super easy and doesn’t take much time. Here’s what to do.
- Put echo buds in your suitcase. Close it and don’t open it for about 20 minutes.
- Make sure the buds are connected to Wi-Fi.
- Also make sure your phone is not too close to the case, as the buttons must be inactive to download updates.
- When updates are available, they are installed via Bluetooth while the buds are charging.
Are you waiting for your “echo buds” to update automatically or are you trying to update the firmware as soon as possible? Either way, upgrading to the new software version will improve the performance of your device. It will also give you access to new features that will enhance your echo experience.
