Some installed software and applications start automatically when you connect by adding items to the boot list. This can slow down your computer, so it’s always a good idea to turn off the one you don’t need. In this post, we will see how you can manage startup applications through the preferences window.

Open the Windows settings in the WinX menu and go to Apps > Startup.

On the right side, you will find some applications that start automatically when you connect to your system. Each application has an Shift key with which you can enable or disable the start status.

You can also determine the effects of these applications on system boot. For example, you can see High, Medium, Low, No effect under the shift key. If your system has not measured the effect, Not measured is displayed.

Note that this is an additional way to control the starters, and you can still manage the starters using the Task Manager in Windows 10.
