Because Windows 8 is a new operating system from Microsoft, users are trying to discover and learn various options under Windows 8. In this article, I will report on the settings for Dual Screen under Windows 8. When accessing various dual screen options on Windows, you must first click Devices.
Configure multiple monitors on Windows 8
Go to your home screen and open the charm bar.
Click Devices. You will see options Second screen .
Clicking on the second screen gives you four different options
The options mean the following :
1 PC monitor only : Only displayed on the screen
2 Duplicate : This basically duplicates the screen
3 Expand : This option extends the Windows 8 desktop and Metro – and would be the ideal option for dual-screen computers.
You can switch the main monitor between Metro UI and Dsktop by pressing the Windows logo key. However, the improved monitor still displays the desktop static screen.
4 Second screen only: As its name indicates, only the second image is selected, provided you only want to use the second image.
You have 10 seconds to change your decision. If you click No, you will return to your previous settings.
In my opinion, the best option for a dual screen Windows 8 PC is to use the Extend Monitor settings to avoid having to switch from the Metro screen to the desktop screen.
