Here is an interesting free application that turns your transparent Windows 7 taskbar into a dynamically changing color RAM counter.

RAM Taskbar for Windows 7 monitors your RAM usage and converts values and displays them in different colors depending on RAM usage. Green means normal, followed by orange for warning and red for critical or high RAM usage.

The application offers customization options. You can display total memory, physical memory or virtual memory only, change color codes, and so on.
