A few days ago, we released our Metro UI Tweaker for Windows 8, with which you can adjust some Metro UI settings in Windows 8. If you now want to switch between the Windows 8 Start menu and the classic Windows 7 Start menu, you can do so with this one-click desktop gadget.

We used to post Insomnia from MSDN, a simple portable WPF application that calls the SetThreadExecutionState API to disable sleep mode during its execution.

Mouse Jiggler is another tool of this type that deceives your computer by sending’false or virtual’ mouse entries, preventing your Windows PC from falling asleep.

It continuously moves the mouse pointer to prevent screen saver activation, sleep or any other activity that may be triggered by computer inactivity.

Choose the’Enable jiggle’ checkbox to move the mouse ; clear it to stop. The’Zen-Jiggle’ checkbox activates a mode in which the pointer is’virtually’ moved – the system thinks it is moving, but the pointer doesn’t really move. read more

Google has released the Chrome 13 browser and is now available for download. A print preview is now available for Windows and Linux users in this version of Chrome.

Chrome’s combo search box and address bar – the Omnibox, makes it easier for you to return to pages you’ve visited before. Simply enter part of the address or title of the page and search the corresponding pages of your history in the drop-down menu.

This latest version of the Chrome browser also introduces a new feature called Instant Pages, which is enabled by default. This means that sometimes, when you click on a Google search result in Chrome, the page loads much faster than before. read more
