Apple Mobile Device Service is the process that is highlighted with other processes in the background when you install Apple iTunes in Windows 10. This process helps iTunes detect the iPhone device connected to your Windows system. If your system does not recognize the iOS device, you must restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS).

The following instructions will help you restart AMDS.

Go to the Run window by clicking Windows + R key.

Type services.msc in the Run window and click OK to open the Service Manager.

Locate the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) in the page list menu.

Right-click AMDS and click Properties in the drop-down menu.

In the Properties window, select Startup Type and select Automatic from the drop-down menu.

Under Service Status, click the Stop button, then click OK.

When the service is complete, right-click Apple Mobile Device Service again and click Start from the drop-down menu.

Restart the computer.

Now open your iTunes and connect your iPhone to import images.

2] Import photos from phone player to Windows player

Connect your iPhone to PC. This displays a notification to the Trust option.

Click the Trust option to continue and close the learning window.

Open the File Explorer by pressing Windows + E to display the phone as a drive.

Copy images from the camera to your system.

3] Change the’Image Permissions’ folder

If you have restarted AMDS and the problem persists, you may need to check the permissions for the image directory on your Windows system.

Go to This PC and right-click the Images folder.

Click Properties from the drop-down menu.

Go to the Security tab and click Edit.

Search and click on your account name in the list of user names.

Check Full Control under Allow.

Click Apply and OK.

(4) Connect your iPhone to another USB port

Although USB 3.0 ports are efficient and faster than USB 2.0 ports, iPhone users have had a problem connecting the device to the USB 3.0 port. If you are unable to transfer images from USB3.0 ports, try USB 2.0 to see if connecting to other ports will solve your problem.

If you are having trouble importing photos to Windows 10, try accessing images and videos from iPhone devices using cloud services like iCloud.
