We are pleased to announce the release of Icon Cache Builder. Although you can still manually rebuild the icon cache in Windows, you can do it with our Icon Cache Rebuilder in one click!

If you have problems with icons that are not displayed correctly. Start Icon Cache Rebuilder, click Rebuild, wait for the Explorer to update and click Restart to restart your computer. A new icon cache is created after the computer restarts.
Please note that closing the Cache Rebuilder icon before the end may cause Windows to display an error for your user profile, as it must update the Explorer and restart your computer to rebuild the Cache icon.

With Icon Cache Rebuilder a user simply loads the application and once IconCache.db is present, a user can click Rebuild to delete the file and restart Explorer.
When this happens, a user can restart his computer and the IconCache.db file will be recreated.
Icon Cache Rebuilder was created by Lee Whittington, TWCF member for The windowsbulletin.com at the request of Bamajon197 , and tested under Windows 7, but can also run under other versions of Windows.
