Repairing Ctrl+Alt+Del Not Working

RECOMMENDED: Click here to fix Windows errors and optimize system performance

CTRL+ALT+DEL is used to open the Task Manager options window. The page options allow users to change the password, log out, shut down or restart the system and access the task manager. All these options are available on the system, but the purpose of the Security Options window is to access these emergency options when the computer crashes and nothing else works.

If the Security Options window no longer works, it may not be an immediate emergency if the system is working properly, but it must be repaired as soon as possible. If we lose access to the security options window if necessary, the only way to manage a frozen system is to shut it down, which can damage the hardware or cause data loss.

Install the latest updates

If the Ctrl Alt Del key combination does not work on your PC, the problem may be due to missing updates. Some errors can occur in Windows and cause this and many other problems. However, you can solve this problem by installing the missing updates. To check the updates manually, proceed as follows:

  • Open the Settings application. You can do this simply by pressing the Windows + I key on your keyboard.
  • When the Settings application opens, go to the Update and Security section.
  • Now click on the Check for Updates button. Windows will now check for available updates and download updates in the background.
  • After downloading the latest updates, the problem should be fixed and the keyboard shortcut should work again.
