For some reason, you sometimes have to restart explorer.exe. Well, you can still use the Task Manager or create a shortcut to restart the Explorer, or follow this method to exit Windows 7 Explorer in 3 clicks.
You can change a lot of things where your Explorer crashes or crashes frequently and often needs to be restarted, or you just don’t want to go through all those multiple clicks to restart explorer.exe.
RightClick Restart Explorer is a simple tool that adds Restart Explorer to your context menu.
Just download and run. Click Install to add the Restart Browser option to your context menu.
The next time you want to restart the Explorer, simply right-click and select Restart Explorer and your explorer.exe will restart.
To remove this option, click Uninstall.
