The error is a warning that the performance log for Microsoft Office 2016 and possibly Office 2013 is complete or almost complete.
The error message looks like this:
“Session “EventLog-AirSpaceChannel” Stopped due to the Following Error: 0xC0000188”
Some items connected to Windows or other operating systems capture events that affect an end user. Other items that are recorded capture events that remain after debugging or performance monitoring and do not have a direct impact on others. The airspace channel is part of this last category. The developers’ mistake was either to have forgotten to disable the log before publishing it, or to have forgotten to put it in a round log file so that it could crash if it wanted the Office development team to capture its events in production.
The event ID warning only affects you if you want to display the log for current details, but none was present, as it was not configured to overwrite and fill automatically. In other words, it has no effect on the end user. The performance or debugging log is full. If you do not use it, it simply warns you that it is full and cannot be overwritten, and continues on its way until the next warning generated at startup.
Change the Log’s Property to Circular
The log’s current ownership probably doesn’t allow it to crash, but it is quickly filled up and it will display this error message on your computer to alert you. It would be much better if the newspaper could simply crash when it is full.
This is exactly what the Circular option is for, and we will show you two ways to change this setting for the AirSpaceChannel protocol!
Open the Run utility using the Windows + R key combination on your keyboard (press these keys simultaneously). Type “compmgmt.msc” in the newly opened field without quotation marks and click OK to open the Services tool.
Running Computer Management from the Run dialog box
- You can also open the Control Panel by finding it in the Start menu. You can also search for it using the search button on the Start menu.
- Once the Control Panel window is open, change the View option at the top right of the window to Large Icons and scroll down until you find the Administration Tools entry. Click on it and locate the Computer Management link at the top. Click on it to open it too.
- In any case, expand the Performance menu under Computer Management (Local) >> System Tools and select the data collector sets to expand it.
- In this menu, open the Startup Event Trace Sessions option and locate the entry’EventLog-AirSpaceChannel’ in the list.
Disable antivirus protection
It is also recommended to disable the antivirus and check if it is useful.
Anti-virus software can help you protect your computer from viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should reactivate it when you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is off, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
