If you have just purchased a new Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book, but your WiFi connection speed is slow, you may want to check if this solution can solve your problem.
In response to a question about Microsoft’s responses, a Microsoft support engineer said :
We have a known problem with.41 that results in low throughput at some access points. The problem is specific to MAC layer aggregation (AMSDU via AMPDU) and affects only a small subset of access points. We are working on a patch for an upcoming update. Until the update is available, please update the registry key to get around this problem.
The proposed workaround is as follows:
Start regedit from the WinX menu to open the registry editor :
Navigate to the next button :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001Servicesmrvlpcie8897
Locate key TXAMSDU.
Double-click or tap.
Change its value from 1 to 0
Exit the registry editor and restart your device.
Let us know if it helped solve your problem.
