TCC/LE is a free and powerful software that completely replaces the traditional Windows command prompt utility. TCC/LE is basically just a command prompt – but it comes with many other utilities and functions you want in the traditional command prompt.
Is it only suitable for geeky command line users? No, this program can be used by everyone because it is very easy to use. What you need to do is simply enter your order and press Enter. It supports most CMD commands as well as some external commands. You can learn all commands from the documentation provided with this free utility.
The appearance and user interface are identical to our traditional command prompt, but the functions are completely different. When we compare TCC/LE with CMD, there are 111 internal commands, 103 internal variables and 140 variable functions in TCC/LE, with only 34 internal commands, 6 variables and 0 variable function in the traditional CMD.
In addition to functions such as copy, delete, cut, TCC/LE supports advanced functions such as file history and completion. When browsing a folder with TCC/LE, you can simply press the TAB key to get the files available in the folder. You can also access commands you entered previously.
The most important and differentiating feature of this software is that it supports third-party plug-ins. With third-party plug-ins, you can easily create your own variables and commands. If you do not want to create your own command or variable, you can use a preconfigured third-party library.
You can specify multiple file names for most TCC/LE file processing commands such as COPY, LED, DIR, MOVE, etc. You can also select or exclude files by date, time, size and wildcards or regular expressions for exceptional flexibility in file management and navigate to any directory on your system by entering only part of the name with extended directory searches.
Another useful feature is that you can redefine your commands with aliases and assign frequently used commands to a single key. This means you can easily create a shortcut to your most frequently used order.
