Often we want to copy text from these dialog boxes, which is sometimes not possible with the Ctrl+C command. To start with Textify, download it and click on its executable to open it.
It offers very few possibilities and is therefore very easy to use. You do not need to understand anything to copy non-selectable text under Windows from a software dialog or system error message window. If you get such a dialog box, make sure it stays open, otherwise it will not work.
To copy text that cannot be selected, click the dialog box or error message window and press Shift+Center with your mouse. The text selection bar is displayed as follows:
Now select the text, copy and paste it anywhere, including Notepad, Word, etc.
If you are using a laptop without an external mouse, you may not have the center mouse button (wheel). In this case, you can change the default settings. You can select Ctrl or Alt instead of the default Shift key and right or left mouse button, or click.
