If you are suddenly confronted with the slowness of your Windows PC and you suspect a hardware or driver problem, you must open the Device Manager. If you see a message in the Device Properties field – The driver for this device may be corrupt or your system is running out of memory or other resources. (Code 3), here are some basic things you can do to correct this error message.

1] Some applications close

This particular problem occurs when you have little memory available and several applications open at the same time. In this case, close some open applications to free up resources. One thing you can check before you close an application. You can open the Task Manager and check whether your system is using high resources or not. If this is the case, start closing some applications depending on their use. You can simply select the program, right-click and click the Complete Task button .

2] Uninstall and reinstall the driver

If you think the device driver may be corrupted, uninstall the driver, then look for new hardware to reinstall the driver. To do this, click the Action menu (16) in Device Manager, then click Check Hardware Changes.

3] Install more RAM

If your Windows computer does not have enough memory to run the driver, you must close some applications to make the memory available. Open the System Information field to check the memory and system resources. Check if you need to install additional memory.
