The Windows Store application, although crucial, has never been completely error-free. Microsoft has further improved its experience with each simultaneous update, but some problems remain. In such a situation, you can try the following solutions to solve the problem:

1] Make sure new applications are backed up to your local drive

  1. Open Settings > System > Save and click Change the location where the new content is saved.
  2. Change settings for New applications are saved on this PC (C). Some applications require that you save them only to your internal hard drive.

2] Clear the Windows application cache

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Command prompt (Administrator).
  2. Enter the wsreset.exe command and press Enter. This clears the Windows Store application cache.

3] Clear Windows cache for third-party applications

If using wsreset.exe does not help, run the following command in a high PDC to get the SID number of the user account for which you have problems:

wmic user account get name,sid

Now type regedit in Start Search and press Enter to open the registry editor. Navigate to the next button:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionAppxAllUserStore

In the left pane AppxAllUserStore and delete the subpane registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionAppxASidAllUserStore[UserSid] for the problematic profile.

4] Use Windows Store Troubleshooting

  1. Click the Start button, then click the gear icon to open the Settings window.
  2. Select Updates and Security, then select the Troubleshooting tab.
  3. Troubleshoot Windows Store applications in the list.

5] Reinstall the Windows Store application

  1. Right-click the Start button, then select Command prompt (Administrator).
  2. Copy the following command into the command prompt window and press Enter:
 PowerShell - ExecutePolicy Unrestricted command'& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore). InstallLocation +'AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}'

6] Check the associated Microsoft account

Try accessing Windows memory with another Microsoft account. It’s to isolate the problem. If the store works with another account, log back into your original account and use Microsoft Accounts Troubleshooter to resolve the problem.
