You can turn the pilot on or off in Windows 10 Creators Update v1703 using the settings. Here you can also adjust the brightness of your computer screen. The Night Light function is something like F.lux or SunsetScreen, which allows users to vary the intensity of their screen and automatically warm up the display over time. It reduces the monitor’s blue light and uses yellowish light to make the screen warmer. You can either light the pilot manually or program it with the specified options. In this article, we will see how to activate and turn on the night light under Windows 10.
Turn the pilot on under Windows 10
To turn the pilot on under Windows, you must open the setting window. If you don’t know how to open it, you can press the Win+I buttons together. You can also find the Settings option in the Win+X menu.
After opening the settings window, go to System > Display. On the right side, you see an option called Night Light under Brightness and Color Settings.
Before turning on the switch, click Night Light Settings to set it correctly and according to your needs. On the next screen, you will find a bar that helps the user select the color temperature.
By moving the bar to the left, your screen looks warmer. Use this bar to select a color temperature level.
Then you can set a schedule. If you do not want to turn it on or off manually, but want to activate the pilot automatically, you can use this option. To activate the schedule, activate the corresponding button marked Schedule night light under Schedule option Schedule Schedule . You now see two different options: Set the sunset at sunrise and hours.
If you want to use the night light from sunset to sunrise, you can choose the first option. Otherwise, click Set Hours and enter the desired times. Also make sure your time is set correctly.
Finally, press button Turn on now . Alternatively, you can turn the Night light knob to activate it.
If you want to turn off the pilot of Windows 10 during active hours, go to the same place in the display settings and turn on the pilot button to turn it off.
I hope you find this feature useful to get rid of eye fatigue.
