RECOMMENDED: Click here to fix Windows errors and optimize system performance
Today, I came across this little application called Tweak Me. This is an optimization and free software for most Windows operating systems that will help you optimize your computer. They also added support for Windows 8 in their latest updated version. There are not many new optimizations for Windows 8, but they have a very good collection. So let’s dive into what Tweak Me has to offer.
The user interface of Tweak Me is very neat and beautiful. But it’s not a portable application. You must install it to run it. Once you start the application, the system first recognizes whether you are running the application as an administrator. You will then be prompted to create a system restore point. Once created, it will lead you to optimizations. One of the advantages of this application is that it detects the operating system and offers only optimizations compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7 or your version of Windows.
Tweaks contains many Windows based optimizations such as Action Center Tweaks, Aero Tweaks, AntiSpy Tweaks, Internet Explorer Tweaks, Modern UI Tweaks, Performance Tweaks, Security Tweaks, UAC Tweaks, Windows Tweaks, WMP Tweaks & Windows Update based Tweaks. That’s quite a collection.
The settings are displayed in different colors, from green for relatively safe to red for advanced users only. But one thing that would be useful is a tooltip for these optimizations so that people know what they are getting into – or maybe a help file with the application would be nice.
In the menu bar, there are other optimizations such as Loading default profile, SSD optimizations, corrections, corrections,, etc. There are also a number of options and a log of what you have done in the application so far. Among the patches I found, I will show a screenshot for reference
In addition to optimizations, you also have a cleaner option to delete logs from some of the popular application logs, cache files, etc. that is really a useful option. It also provides a boot manager – but this is not very useful for Windows 8 because we get the option directly from the task manager. Another useful option is the Context Menu option, with which you can disable menu items that are no longer used.
Finally Tweak Me is an excellent application and a must for Windows enthusiasts or IT professionals who want to optimize the machine or use it at the customer while optimizing the machines.
You can download the application from the developer’s website . I hope you find this freeware useful.
