Installation of Java with Administrative Rights

If you have problems installing Java on Windows 7 or Windows 8, try installing Java as an administrator. To do this, download the offline installer and save it to an empty folder on your hard drive. Then right-click the executable file and choose Run as administrator from the context menu.

Temporarily disable user account control

Some people have reported that the user account control feature interferes with the installation of Java. If you believe that User Account Control is the cause of your problem, you can temporarily disable it until the installation is complete. How to do this depends on the version of Windows you are using. In Windows 8, you will find the option to change user account control settings in the Control Panel under System and Security | Action Center.
